H. Naoto SF Store Opening!

It was a shopping spree at the H. Naoto Official San Francisco Store Opening today! The store looks great and is packed full of items more awesome than I could have hoped for. I look forward to having them at New People, and to their store sapping my funds away...oh, so far away!
Now for the low-down...

There was an H. Naoto novelty set at the NP Cafe which included: place mat, coffee and a "bloody" cupcake! This made the opening a truly unique and sensual experience!

My major purchase! It's hand-painted, dress-length and form-fitting! Enough hyphens? It also says "Fuck". That about covers it!

A demonic hat-scarf with ears! In love >:D (I suspended it from my fencing sword for your delight.)

This "Heaven" purse is the opening novelty with purchase of $100!

With my purchase I also received a sticker (right) that is my ticket to the party on Saturday night! I also received a booklet with Naoto-san's signature and a cheki of us...

I had to wear my new shirt dress.

Hello from San Francisco!!! <3

I am still recovering from the excitement of the day. Don't forget to check out the H. Naoto design exhibit in the Superfrog Gallery on the 3rd floor at New People! There are lots of gorgeous, high-end designs to behold!

Peace Now lucky pack!

I stopped by Harajuku Hearts today and picked up my Peace Now lucky pack! Here are the spoils:

I love this shirt. It's something I would definitely choose to buy off the rack.

Evi! I would never have purchased this for myself, but it is great! Now I have the opportunity to be more creative with my coords.

A very high-quality, soft blouse with heart buttons and a velvet ribbon. It'll go great with lots o' things.

Ironically, these were my favorite item from the pack! I dreaded getting a pair of pants for the size, but these fit perfectly and are amazing. Snow leopard print? YES!!!!

On the left: Star pass case! I wanted this one - On the right: Star cell strap with Evi!

Link was very happy with the accompanying bag :D

Moral of the day: No one needs to feel perfect to feel right, and you can be more epically awesome than you already are when you are dressed head-to-toe in Japanese burando! Yay for Peace Now!

The Mother (of pearl) of All Purchases

Yes, I have acquired the most awesome thing in the world and shall no longer want for anything. Allow me to relate the epic story:

It was late one Thursday evening. It was too late, in fact, as my favorite shopping buddy and I were busing it over to downtown SF, trying to make it on time to the FNO party at the Betsey Johnson store on Geary Street. Said party was to have free champagne and cupcakes. What more can I say? We were hurrying!

After beating back the crowd of Union Square shoppers we came to the correct intersection, but to our dismay witnessed throngs of ladies with their lovely, hot pink Betsey bags coming out of the store. We had missed the party and, thereby, the free goodies. Certainly not being ladies who hang around looking only for freebies like the seagulls from Finding Nemo, we browsed the store for lovelies to adopt. It was my first time at the Geary store and I was glad at the wide selection. Not seeing anything particularly eye-catching, we trolled the jewelry counter, as is tradition. Naturally, I wanted everything, but as far as finding that one special thing I wasn't having much luck.

It was then that my friend looked in the case and saw an awesome, red telephone booth necklace. I remarked, "Oh, how cute!" However, before I could remove my eyes, my friend gasped something similar to, "OMG @#$%*! Look at THAT!"

Yes. It was the Mother of all Mothers. Not only that, but the gracious ladies behind the counter produced a second one (and the last) for me to purchase. We seem to have glorious luck in buying two of the last of any awesome piece of jewelry whenever we shop. I think the fashion gods have been more than gracious, and I feel it is my responsibility to resist begging at their feet for awesomeness for quite some time. I have a freaking Magic Mermaid Talisman!

Mermaid Power!!!

Oh, and we did not live happily ever after. All hot n' bothered after such an illuminating shopping experience, we had to eat pizza and cool our jets at Forever 21. Thusly, we unloaded and loaded up on some cheap goodies...

Cute socks! (from left): Daisies, Foxes, Bananas, Moose, Kites and a momma Koala bear with a pink baby Koala!

Review: Sou Sou good!

My first post! In keeping with the blog theme of instant gratification, I went shopping at Sou Sou yesterday and have been just dying to take pictures and share my spoils with everyone. I have now created an outlet...and possibly a monster!

Sou Sou (pronounced "so so") is a modern Japanese design from Kyoto inspired by traditional textile techniques. Designer Katsuji Wakisaka draws inspiration from the beautiful landscape of his home city of Kyoto to create bright, natural-looking designs for such Sou Sou products as "tabi" shoes and socks, towels, bags and clothing.

Sou Sou San Francisco has been open for business in New People, Japan Town since 2009. They now have SF Store only items and have recently expanded their inventory to include winter garments! To date, my purchases have been limited to my favorite "tabi" socks of various lengths (shown above). I wear them everywhere: around the house, in my favorite shoes and thong sandals. I even wear them while exercising. They are thick, yet breathable and are totally stylin'. They are also reasonably priced at $10 a pair or 2 for $18. I look forward to expanding my collection to shoes and clothing soon (especially their amazing scarves)!

"Om nom nom nom!" Now my feet can eat things.
